Surgery deals with the surgical cases of Medical science. It includes identification and diagnosis of common surgical conditions of the body. The students shall be able to:
- History taking, communication skills and clinical examination
- Diagnosis of common clinical problems
- Identification of instruments used in surgery
- Writing Blood Transfusion order and transfusion note
- Able to interpret xray, ultra-sonogram of abdomen, neck,thorax, CT scan of abdomen, neck,thorax, brain
- Common diseases and its prophylaxis and management
- Acquire technique and skills to perform minor procedures like cauterization, suturing, abscess drainage, wound dressing, handling trauma patient
