Science of Dental Material is one of the main basic subject in dentistry. It helps the student to learn the abc of dentistry. Like the primary level school, students get the knowledge about dentistry, what’s we deal here, how many branch it has. What we do here either the laboratory work or patient work in dentistry. What type of material we use to give treatment to the patients. The restorative and aesthetic work that satisfy the patient, how and what type of materials we use and how these materials are modified day by day the teachers give up to date information here. The history of dentistry from older to newest and latest all knowledge students can gain from the teachers. Specially the foreigner who came here, at first they feel trouble on language but the teacher’s, Departmental Head Dr. Md. Zahedur Rahman (B.D.S; D.D.S) who is a learn seeker person and still learning dentistry but continuing his education by getting chance in FCPS in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and senior lecturers Dr. Masuma Nasrin, Dr. Jibon Chowdhury, Dr. Mitara Momotaz helps the student to overcome this situation. They also help students who fail to understand in the class, they help by taking special class for weak students. Overall the fresher’s student they get homely environment here from the dept. teachers and forget their homesickness, overcome their fear here.
